SHANE WINS BIG IN VANCOUVER HASTINGS

Posted below is an email I received from a friend who attended yesterday, the NDP nomination in Van-Hastings.

I am very proud that Shane Simpson won the nomination over the Friends of Larry Campbell chosen candidate. Sometimes the underdog can win and does win big. Shane won bigtime as this riding is a stronghold for the NDP.

I grew up with Shane in the poorest project in Western Canada, Raymur. To witness him go on to win the nomination after some pretty disgusting attacks warms my heart. Obviously Shane stands a pretty good chance of winning his seat. This I believe is a win win situation for downtown eastsiders since Shane has a strong understanding of our needs in the electoral riding of Vancouver- Mt Pleasant. Hopefully our sitting MLA Ms Jenny Kwan will now follow Shane's lead and champion East Side interests over the Big Corporate Union Leadership who often have forgotten the little people.
