APC GANG PLANS PROTEST at NPA MEETING

Below is a APC posting sent to their supporters. It was privately forwarded on to me by someone who doesn't support the APC tactics. While it is the right of APC to protest, I hope they have matured and won't be calling people names or attempting to block members of the NPA from accessing their nomination meeting. Peaceful protest is a tenet of democracy, but the APC method of protest is unproductive and alienates the public. Calling the nomination a Circus or attempting to disrupt the nomination serves no useful purpose. See their posting -- Jamie Lee.

NPA NOMINATION CIRCUS

June 8th
10am - 4pm (leafleting and picket)
12:00noon DEMONSTRATION

Marriot Pinnacle Hotel (1128 W. Hastings)

Join us for an all-day disruption of the NPA nomination & debate. We will
shine a spotlight on Sam Sullivan and the NPA for their brutal assault on
women, indigenous people and homeless people. With the NPA in power,
homelessness has increased, the criminalization of the poor continues to
grow under Project Civil City and the replacement of the cities last
affordable housing by condo development is well underway. Help us disrupt
the NPA circus.

We will be having an all-day picket, distributing information about the
NPA's attack on poor people during the last four years.

At noon we will be disrupting their meeting to honor Sam Sullivan with a
special award for his role in the on-going criminalization of poverty
through the Civil City Initiative.
