Public Service Announcement

Please forward to any of your relevant lists!

Have you had your screening mammogram in the last two years? The
Screening Mammography Program of BC, part of the BC Cancer Agency, is
running free mobile screening mammography clinics in your area. If you
are between the ages of 40 - 79, a BC resident, are not pregnant or
breast feeding, do not have breast implants and have no current breast
concerns, you can book your free appointment by calling 604-660-3639 or
1-888-GO HAVE 1.

Mobile clinics are at:

Vancouver Community College (East Broadway) May 23 - 26
Jewish Community Center (Oakridge) May 29 - June 1
SUCCESS (Pender) June 12 - 16
YWCA (Hornby) June 28 - July 7

Year round appointments are also available at any of our lower mainland
screening centres.
So if you are a woman over the age of 40, please consider the
following:

70 percent of women with breast cancer have NO risk factors other than
being female and getting older.
Mammography only takes a few minutes.
No doctor's referral is required.
It's free.
