DERA and APC ALLIANCE CRUMBLING

DERA and APC ALLLIANCE CRUMBLING

Anonymous sources confirm that staff at the Downtown Eastside Residents Association (DERA) held a raucous three hour union meeting on Wednesday, July 16 at the Lore Krill Housing Cooperative.

Apparently, staff at DERA with many being members of the APC group are up in arms over the zany antics of DERA executive director, Kim Kerr.

A while back, I reported here on Oldtown News that an attempted internal coup was staged by DERA staff. The coup failed but since then there has been the resignations and firings of senior staffers at DERA. They include Nicki Dunlop and Lisa Hall.

Now Mr Kerr has his eyes fixed on Ms Anna Hunter, a leader of APC and a DERA advocate. Mr Kerr is so outraged with Ms Hunter and it was claimed at the meeting he is going around informing staff that Ms Hunter is an Israeli Secret Service agent.

Is it any wonder that the Downtown Eastside is in such a troubled mess? Not very promising for the area's woes when you have idiotic talk like this from those purporting to assist the poor.

Oh yes I was informed that David Cunningham another top-dog of the APC was missing from the meeting -- which is no surprise here -- since this is often the case during his paid work shifts at DERA.

Previously I reported that APC leaderhip understudy, Aaron Muirhead who was on his knees begging not to be fired after the first failed coup at DERA blurted out that the talk at the meeting would probably wind up on Oldtown News.

Guess what Mr Muirheard you were right!
