Oldtown News
Vancouver, BC

Its interesting since I posted about the connections between APC/DERA and CUPE that my blogsite in the comments section is receiving numerous attempts at spin. I haven't moderated all the comments through since many are repeating the same language. Most likely these anonymous posters are members of the CUPE union or members of APC/DERA.

It all began when Picket Boy who writes his own blog called into question that he wanted proof of the connection. Picket Boy is a member of CUPE. He stated that he is a stickler for detail and I found this interesting since its right there on the CUPE 1004 website that they represent DERA workers. Numerous media and myself have pointed out on a number of occasions that APC has taken over DERA and many DERA workers are APC leaders and CUPE 1004 members. This is very much a matter of public record.

Now another clumsy attempt at spin in the comments section of my blog by another anonymous poster who questions whether I can with certainty make the connections that I have regarding the Tacky garbage dumping at Mayor Sullivan's home being the responsibility of CUPE 1004 members.

For the record, APC took credit for this illegal action. That means the entire organization which operates on a collectivist model has taken collective responsibility. I find it ludicrous that someone actually has the nerve to suggest that perhaps only a few APC members and ones not connected to CUPE 1004 are the responsible for this stupid action. How silly.

The leadership of APC are DERA workers. They are the ones to decide on any APC action. These same public faces of APC/DERA are in fact CUPE 1004 members. Therefore this rogue group of CUPE members carried out this moronic and cowardly act of dumping garbage on the doorsteps of innocent residents of the building where Mayor Sam Sullivan lives.

I understand that the President of CUPE 1004, Mike Jackson, has denounced the action of APC/DERA. Good for him for doing so. Unfortunately, it hasn't been stated that the ones culpable of dumping the garbage are CUPE members and this is unfortunate.

Even worse, is that the opposition party, Vision, which has supported APC/DERA and receives considerable CUPE donations has remained silent on this matter. It seems that Vision is in support of dumping garbage on peoples homes, during the strike. Is this the type of political leadership one should expect from our elected representatives? I sure hope not!

I'm certain this blog posting will result in another flurry of anonymous comments attempting to deflect criticism.

Its a crappy day so I await the barrage of insults and attempted spin.

There has been an individual, Picket Boy, who is writing a blog on the Vancouver strike. He writes anonymously and is a striking CUPE worker. He has actually articulated informative, non partisan responses to the strike, up until now that is.

He is reading my blog and has sent me comments which I moderated through. He disputes my claim that APC/DERA members are CUPE 1004 members. He asks me to prove it.

Here is the proof.

DERA workers are members of CUPE 1004, a striking Union. A number of APC members work for DERA as paid employees and are required to belong to CUPE 1004. Moreover, a significant number of APC members also sit on the DERA board.

Influential members of APC, working at DERA include, David Cunningham, leader of the APC. His father Russ Cunningham, also woks for DERA as a housing maintenance worker. Aaron Muirhead is the building manager of Pendera, a DERA building. He has participated in many APC illegal acts and is a member of APC. Anna Hunter works for DERA as does Lily Loncur.

Ms Hunter is an APC spokesperson. Both these women are members of APC. A number of other housing staff who work part-time at DERA also belong to APC. Another influential member of APC is Thomas Malefont, who has been arrested on a number of occasions for participating in APC illegal acts. He works in the Pendera and Marie Gomez (another DERA building).

As my readers know, APC/DERA workers and CUPE 1004 members recently dumped a whole lot of garbage on Mayor Sam Sullivan's condo building where hundreds of other residents reside.

I have asked Union leaders to distance themselves from this tacky action of members of their Union.

I received this response instead from Picket Boy. Interesting.
