HARD TIME VACATION
Dera Abusing Public Funds

Dear Readers,

As many of you know, I have been quite critical of DERA/APC and for very good reason.

The latest information I uncovered is this.

Hard fought worker rights that were granted in their public union contracts are being misused.

Case in point is the recent incarceration of a DERA building manager who was away from work because of being in the clinker and it hasn't been the first time either.

The General Manager of DERA, in a written statement which I posses claims the criminally charged and incarcerated employee was paid while in jail. This paid jail time was explained as vacation time.

DERA/APC employees receive 15 sick days a year plus 4 mental health days a year and 4 family leave care days a year. DERA employees are entitled to roll over their sick and mental health days every year at 75% of accrued time.

Moreover, these employees earn 4-12% gross daily vacation pay which is how the jailed employee with management in full agreement, was allowed to be paid while serving time in jail.

I just thought the public should be aware of how their hard earned tax dollars are being misused in a poverty stricken neighborhood.

Hard time vacation isn't it folks?
